Scraping for Profit

This is what happened in early June, 2004. A developer who had previously been cited by the county of San Mateo apparently decided to go ahead and remove all the vegetation from his property.

That vegetation happened to include designated riparian habitat. Protected habitat.

He also removed a wood rat's nest, a clear violation of law.

These pictures clearly document the intentional destruction.

One week later a For Sale sign went up.
